A terrible thing happened in a middle school in Brazil. A former student went into the school killing children after gaining entrance to the children. There were approximately 400 students ages from 9 yr old to 14. The killer had two hand guns and a lot of ammunition to do his bidding. GuelphMercury.com is reporting that the killer’s sister confirmed that the killer had converted to Islam:
The attacker apparently committed suicide upon being chased by a police officer who had been called in by a student who managed to escape the building. “He still had a lot of ammunition in his possession. Had it not been for the arrival of the police officer, the tragedy would have been even worse,” Beltrami said. Roselane de Oliveira, a sister of the attacker, told Rio de Janeiro radio station Band News that the young man “was very strange.” “He had no friends, and he spent all his time on the internet,” she said. “In recent months, she said, he appeared to have got closer to Islam.”
Two boys, one of them shot in the arm, ran from the school two blocks away and contacted two police officers who ran to confront the killer. Upon confrontation the killer was shot in the leg. Upon realizing he was going to be caught the killer shot himself in the head. Many students have dies that day and parents have been left grieving their lost.
